Hidden Farm Bill: Debunking 3 Myths


I do 2 things. 1. Illustrate the Hid Farm Bill. 2. Debunk 3 myths: A Big vs Small farms; B Corn/Soy food/CAFOs; C Iowa Vs California, etc.

Here the VISIBLE subsidies everyone talks about are whited out, and the Hidden Farm Bill is shown, for the 4 farm examples.

Visible & Hidden together. I begin to show how, though big farms got the biggest subsidies, their much bigger "Congressional" market reductions were also biggest.

This shows how my the HIDDEN farm bill is a reduction for farmers (but a massive gain for MEGA AgBiz). The farm bill isn't just a government spending pie graph. It's more about nonsubsidy market management.

This de-bunks the myth of "Subsidy Caps" and limits. They do nothing about export dumping, CAFO meats & cheap junk food (massive HIDDEN benefits for US & multinational MEGA exporters processors & CAFOs).

Here I begin the Corn & Soybeans series, as a rebuttal to claims about farm subsidies causing junk food, CAFO benefits, etc. Subsidy reforms do nothing. We need a return to adequate market management to remove the need for subsidies. See my "Primer."
