Purpose in life

If we believe that the purpose for our being in this world is to awaken to our full spiritual potential,our commitment to this primary purpose should be total. Not everyone is sincerely interested in knowing the truth about themselves and their relationship with the Infinite. It is human nature to be addicted to illusional,irrational thinking and habitual behaviors that serve only physical and emotional needs.

The average person’s attention and endeavors are mostly directed to their personal survival and improvements of circumstances.Their time,energies,abilities,and resources are used to cope with daily obligations and with planned and unplanned events that occur. They are ordinarily peoccupied with overcoming challenges,trying to solve personal problems or the problems of others,hoping for or seeking situations or relationships that may provide them more security and comfort,coming to terms with memories of past mistakes or misfortune,or with purposeless activities and social involvements.Because they are but partially conscious and focused on mundane concerns,they do not know the truth about themselves or of the many higher possibilities available to them..

What we should remember,and everyone should have an opportunity to know,is that with God,our highest good is always possible! Our highest spiritual good is to be fully awake to who and what we are as spiritual beings in relationship to God. Our highest human good is to be able to freely express our creative potential and to have all circumstances,relationships,and events that unfold in our lives be orderly, harmonious,constructive,and fulfilling.

Because we are individualized expressions of God’s omnipresent consciousness and our minds are units of God’s Universal Mind,wherever we are in time or space, regardless of present circumstances,we are in God. God’s consciousness is the reality of us and God’s Mind is ever responsive to our desires and needs. When our needs are not always met,it may be because we are not sufficiently receptive to the blessings and good fortune that life can provide us.Circumstances,resources,and events always meet us at our level of understanding and acceptance.We have to learn to be open to life and to be responsible for our states of consciousness,mental and emotional states and behaviors. To be fully awake to awareness of our spiritual nature and the reality of God,we must aspire to be more conscious and knowledgeable.We must do all we can to allow the awakening and unfoldement of our innate soul qualities to naturally occur.With God, the unfoldement of our highest good in every aspect of our life is always possible.
