Hello,

Blogs are a familiar feature on the internet - where users post content in an accumulating manner, with comments, and search options, etc. They facilitate expression and exploration, and via attached comments, also debate and synthesis.

Reading and
Navigating Blogs

Our blogs are quite powerful. Each writer can post, as is typically the case. Sustainers who have the option can also post, however. All Blogs appear in the blog system, and sometimes also in content boxes the top page of ZNet - and always via the left menu of the top page - and can be found via searches, etc.

Commenting on blogs follows the blogs, attached at the bottom, and blog comments, like all others, are also visible in many places that show comments including in the forum system. In addition, the entire blog system gathers content for everyone - but one can look at the accumulating content in many ways.

  • For example one can look at one writer's efforts - so one is seeing what is effectively a blog system for that one writer, or Sustainer.
  • One can also look at the content by topic, seeing blogs that are tagged as being about a certain topic - or place, as well. Thus, when doing that, it is a blog system about a topic, or a place, with many contributors.
  • One can look at only writer blogs, or only sustainer blogs, as well.
  • One can look at blogs for particular Groups, too.

All this is easily done using the left menu. Searches allow even more variables and refinements.

Creating Blog Posts

If you are a Sustainer with permission, and are logged in, you will see a link in the left menu for you to post a blog - and you can use that to post one, and then tag it various ways (such as with a topic or place, or a group tag), and once you do, it is in the system with you as the author.

You can also use the console button to the left to post a blog - anytime and from anywhere in the site, as long as you are logged in.

Meanwhile, enjoy the blogs - and, by the way, if you are a Free Member or a Sustainer with a ZSpace page, of course you can put one or more content boxes on it, pulling blog links of any sort you may want to filter for, for example, by you or by your friends or by others - and by topic, about places, for groups, etc.

blog #31 (zcomm)                                                                                                copywrite 11-11-09

Radionuclides, or Veteran's Day another peace-Polemic

...pride is not only a dead-Veteran: soldier. But soldiering is not too democracy interpolative, nor democracy-Instructive, such we all are, as "radionculides are not as oil-is-Best: lubricant, but as Oiel is worst-Polluting phooel ?"

Today is another veterans regurge-Day, simply stated. The guys are hopped-Up or honed down penises, the gals are vaginas with a meaning or gals that have had Life "tough" like the guys.  The cause of getting more tax-Monies is always discussed by "polity-Technicians" and social-Responsibility gets "lameo'd"?  That there is an opportunity for "discussion" has been missed in-the-Corporate meaning, although even Pacifica, my basic news analysis—plus mega-Cool reports websites! However, not one is leading to "peace-Dividend Day". This is not another ‘weather-Strip of duct-Tape' yet. However, there is no "whatever on this "Boomer" accord, yet? As the war-Zones disappear and reappear, neither is there more than less tolerance than "when do the veterans speak for nuclear/radionuclides CLEANUPS" the long-Drawn antipathy of method is not the madness, nor has this been redressed in intellectual circles, much? Mch more is much more, necessary!

"It went something like this: in order to cool off the uranium slugs that were used to produce plutonium, water, after being treated, was pumped from the Columbia River and flowed through the aluminum tubes that held the uranium in order to reduce the slugs' high temperatures. Around 75,000 gallons of water rushed in at regular river temperatures every minute and was then released back into the Columbia at around 200 degrees Celsius. Early studies showed that young salmon were most susceptible to the effluent's radiation and by the late 1950s, salmon runs in the mid-Columbia began to rapidly decline.

It wasn't just the Columbia River that Hanford's reactors filled with radioactive toxins. Smokestacks released the reactor's toxic debris when winds were strongest. They were built 200 feet high so as not to contaminate the facility workers below. However, when production of plutonium reached its peak during the Cold War, plant operators were forced to ignore the wind patterns and released radioactive soot into the air throughout the day.

Values in the river water at Richland were even higher, reaching up to four times that at Pasco by late 1948."...Studies to this day are seeking to unravel the extent to which the Columbia River is still being contaminated by several of Hanford's slow-leaking radioactive tanks, which are at the heart of the largest environmental cleanup this country has ever undertaken."

Writing in little-D has never been a completion of empathics, but has always been helpful to me in maintaining my principles, while helping others establish their mal-aligned "ethics-Imbalance" as caused by lack in lapses of both reading reports, articles, commentary of more than a report on a death by vehicle: accident. I'm talkin' principles and ethics, people? Like wars are great for killing others, so why not have 26 years in-a-row, to ameliorate whatever. You know the question of nobody does anything? Whatever that means...a non-body is a drunk or PTSD is only found in cases of pre-Involvement and then comparison in post. Whatever, is what about the inbetween "scene" when a woman has no couth for truths that wars are killing the birthing processes as-much-as Pollutants, climate weather reformulation, and insects kill insects be-a-stooge?

I personally started my activist activities while protesting against nuclear-Weapons at-the-flagpole on the Colorado College campus, because being a student "there" was not whatever! That, of course in the advent of righteous "beat-Bohemian: philosophy" was to follow the course of "the ban-Symbol" a paradigm of icon and symbol(s) plural. Next, as I got together with others in Frisco, as little-D had died from impasse of those veterans returning from impact, that they knew about but did not discuss. They'd signed their "lives" away or some "whatever" overture. I was not a veteran, but after 43 years I've more than become one for "peace is purpose of democracy" almost daily impacts in one way or another.

I got involvements goin' actually. Because I started at three places, the lack of disguise and openness necessity parabled me, and impacted my life—again and again? I was neither "draft-Dodger" nor "veteran of V-C-L"  who dared not speak on cruelty is not human-Rights, indignation is only ghetto-ized afro-Amers into southeast-Asia, and other "heavy" temperaments which I discussed, whenever openness was availing need in public and in private. Thus, I became the scene, oftenor than imagined—later I would join with an affinity group in Berkeley Cal, called "the Imagine affinity Group" of course (1989 thru 2006). Frisco was a "metals" town, once productive but in all high-country scenes, union-Activism was not paragon. I studied the lack of extent in historic pronouncements of those to pull-up the boot-Straps i.e. not just to pull boots "on".

However, "on" was where I went. From Rocky Flats camp-outs and discussions, in 1969; from Berkeley to Hanford in 1969; from both Frisco and Berkeley in 1969 to LANL and none-other-than pre-cyber-Space  "nev-Testsite". The Hanford debacle was most exposed, and more exposure of "the radionuclides" just being around there. I was then and I am now, sole-Survivor of both surnames — altho I've used my space-Time in correlation with "reduction of stockpile and introduction of NSDU-238 catharsis" (starting in 1969, Berkeley w the "peace-Keepors" affinity Group"). Soooo, there I was @ U-C Berkeley, and U-C Davis and Cal-State ‘Hayweird', getting straight-A's while doin' Ecology and Geography inputs and en voce' correlations of and toward integration as-well-as "social-Responsibility" to aver where veterans were not truly goin' in aspects of "human-Rights: dignity" of not being stoically aggrandized. Period! Dig.

So, where is the "voices-Scene: plural" and from-the-woods full of insects devour without propaganda, these-Days? This nation-State heeding low estimates in 1996, when NPT and START II were up for Senate votes, and negligible un-Enterprising Bully ClintoN kept "bomb-Scaping" post NSDU-238 Iraq-lands to obliteration of how bad "pollutants of sleaze" 60% fissile aerosolization is without being "disturbed" was? Where are the IVAW voices, today, regarding PTSD, NSDU-238 and resolute needs to clean-Up. Well, that fan is turning in-the-Wind, and the excess @ LANL, and the excess @ nev-Testsite, and the inveteracy of not cleaning up 101 nukie-Plants, and the stimulata "the ozone of chlorofluoro Pollut-Nats" is in one little-Article quoted above from zCommunications. Today see on out your veterans do Nothing much mind-Scape and relate to this lil-Ole report of making  d-F atomic weapons so as to be able to use NSDU-238, too!

Shame to war-Mongers, day, may best be expressed, that the veterans "are not off the hook" as a male-Guy said in 1969 affinity correspondence, before the both of us agreed, that women had to happen as "politicos" too.

Please read: Hanford's B Reactor by Joshua Frank  http://www.zcommunications.org/zmag/viewArticle/23040    pride is not only a dead-Veteran: soldier. But soldiering is not too democracy interpolative, nor democracy-Peace: Instructive, as well as "radionculdies" are not as oil-is-Best: lubricant, but worst-Polluting: phooel...

When wars are not peace...after 27 years of wars, we'll need 27 years to adjust for peace to become symbolic enough to provide an intimate balance.

                  luv from the peace-Warrior,

                                                                "R" Addison
