more invisible children
I'm not impressed.
He is the President of USA.
He is to present his nominee to lead the World Bank.
So he has given a call to some embedded toady.
"Please my friend, ask me about Trayvon Martin."
And there the President goes.
The most occupied sycophant of the western hemisphere.
The black spaniel of the military industrial complex.
The black toady of the gun lobby.
In USA it is now possible to kill someone and to have the law with you.
As a president you could convey a signal.
As the democratic presidential candidate you could take position.
Nothing of the kind.
Instead of that he created a feel-good movie.
Invisible Children.
Massaging inarticulate sentiments.
Manufacturing subconscious support.
Joan Walsh of Salon was impressed.
Lisa Belkin of HufPost was impressed.
I'm not.
