I like the ideas. Though I think our ZSpace homes should be the automatic page that comes up when logged in- does that make sense?
Also it simplifies the top menu but would that lead to even more overloaded sub-menus?
Did you study Graphic Design? Was this created on a Mac? j/k

Haha. Actually, I have been informed by Tayssir that this is a "paper prototype", thank you very much. And since you asked, I did take a college drawing class. So there!
I don't think simplifying the top menus necessarily means overloading the submenus. It could, yes, but when we simplify the top menus we also need to simplify and combine the sub-menus. Actually i just posted a blog where i did this for zspace's sub-menus. I think lots of the menus are made prominent in order to draw attention to them and increase their use, but that don't themselves contain other content types and therefore don't need to be on the same level as those top-level menus. Having Places and ZNet and ZCom and Parecon on the same level strikes people as confusing, b/c they can't intuitively understand what they all are, they can't say, "These are all the topics within ZNet," or "These are the main umbrella components of ZCom" or whatever.
