Disgraceful

The mainstream coverage of both events is an absolute disgrace no matter how you look at it... zero coverage for the WSF and zero coverage of the actual protests and demands at the G20 (or what's going on behind closed doors, for that matter), but thousands of articles and probably hundreds of TV-hours of coverage of the "protest violence" and not a peep about widespread police brutality, the illegal hemming in of protesters at the Novatel hotel, the highly suspicious police car burnings, and on and on. At least the CBC (public broadcaster) here in Canada has clearly shown what side it's on, once and for all: not ours.
Anybody up for starting a new mass media movement?
BTW, anyone looking for alternative coverage of G8/G20 should check out both The Real News (whose reporter was attacked by police - they supposedly have footage of it) and the Toronto Media Co-op for great on-the-ground alternative reporting.
