How do I use the Tabbed Menus?

If you roll your cursor over a top level tab, you will see, below, the second tier of the tabbed menu alter in tune with your top level forus. If you click any top level tag, or second tier link, it will take you wherever indicated.

The tab entries are nearly, but not completely, constant, throughout the site.

How do I use the Left Menus?

The headings in the left menu have down arrows preceding them. Click one to display the menu entries beneath the heading. Often the default is for the highlight section to be open, Opening one, closes any other that had been open, so one at a time is open.

With a section open, the links under that section become visible int he left menu. If you click the right pointing arrow that appears to the right of any entry a display area will open covering the first two columns of content on the page you are viewing. In that display area will be a filtered list of links matching the criteria you choose... The easiest way to see is to try it.

The purpose of these menus is to allow you very quick access to content from deep in the site that you may be especially interested in. For example, if you particularly like to keep up with posts by some specific author, or on some specific topic or place, or with all comments - you could go to the author's personal page, or the topic page, or the place page, or the comments page of the site - but you could also just choose your focus in the left menu to see the most recent thirty or forty links of the indicated sort without ever leaving the top page, and in the shortest possible time.

How do I Search Content?

Just click the Search link at the top of the left menu, or you can choose search in the tabbed menu, if you prefer - under ZNet, for example.  Once you are on the search page, it will at first appear a bit daunting. But it really isn't. ZCom is huge, with many types of content - and we give you a means to search it all, of course, but also to search only specific types of content - such as articles, or videos, or blogs, and many more - as well as to narrow your search by topic, or place, or writer. This permits you to find what you are looking for very directly, particularly if you choose a number of filters at once. Try it.

What are Topic and Place Pages - How do I use them?

Topic and Place pages are compendiums of content that address some - well - topic or place. They include, as well, links to other sites addressing the same focus. To use these paves you just go to them, typically via the tabbed menu.

How do I find an Author or Sustainer or Member's page?

Every free Member, Sustainer, and Writer gets a ZSpace page. On these personal pages people can display pretty much whatever they choose, depending on the permissions they have. In particular, these are places to display content one has posted anywhere int he site - one's articles, blog posts, comments, etc. One can also upload graphics, one's bio, information about oneself and one's preferences, etc.

There are numerous ways to see someone's ZSpace page. IF you are reading an article or other content by the person, for example, you can most often click their name to see their page. You can also search anyone's page using sublinks under the ZSpace tab in the tabbed menu. You can also rearch for people using the search page by finding content of the person, then just clicking to see the author's page.

How do I find my own ZSpace and Account Page?

You simply log in - whether as a free Member, Sustainer, or ZWriter, as the case may be. Then, right below the tabbed menu, the page will say hello to you personally, and their are some links - including one for your ZSpace Page, and also one for your account page.
