Song for a new born child

Infant child of features mild,

Placid in a world so wild,

What abiding gift you bring,

Dispersing sorrows in tranquility.

Here at the dawn of your life,

Your memories start to write,

Filing up the first blank page,

Though you won’t recall this age.

The sun will heat your morning,

Your energy start pouring

Into love for all you see,

But if you look carefully,

You may one day find a time,

When hate will play its pantomime.

Then I beg you please reflect,

Promise that you won’t neglect.

Wheresoever you may lie,

For whatever you may cry,

With whomever you may be,

Live with love and happily.

Infant child of features mild,

Placid in a world so wild,

What abiding gift you bring,

Exploding delight from tranquility.
