Please google 'Election Boycott' and you will see that this tactic is frequently used world-wide to delegitimize governments and to go up against electoral fraud. What is ineffective is wasting your vote on a guaranteed loser.

In the presidential race I would rather vote third party. In congressional and senate races, I would still vote Dem. Half the population doesn't vote as it is. Not voting accomplishes nothing.
