If you read those articles I linked to, you'l see that virtually all traffic signs have been removed - stop lights, stop signs, etc. And these aren't dusty hamlets in Kansas -- they're busy towns and cities in the heart of Europe. Som...

Hi, > 1. Funny thing about the stoplight analogy. Actually, quite a few cities and regions in Europe have rid themselves of stop lights, and things have been going quite well: In the u.s., too, most corners have stop signs or nothing - b...

Anders, Thanks. Your experience and reaction is precisely what the whole process aims at attaining...but that it fails, at times, with some people, isn't too surprising. At such times, advocates simply have to carry on trying to address  ...

"There is a striking irony in all this. As noted above, often the same person who raises objections to parecon for being a blueprint later asks all kinds of questions that violate minimalist maximalism. They will ask, how long will people wor...

I have to say that I think a lot of the debate over Parecon is just nitpicky bullshit. I consider myself an Anarchist, but of the old-school variety (think Kropotkin, Goldman, Berkman, Malatesta, Rocker, etc.). I have no problem with Parecon, exce...
