I am currently living in New Zealand but I came over to study History about 15 years ago and became very interested in civil society and the importance of having alternative dialogues to analyse who we were and what we were to do. I am still very interested in the world that we live in - in developing dialogue between those who can't (or won't) see each other's points of view, to come to a peaceful co-existence.

My readings have taken me far and wide - am interested in popular culture as a means of finding that bridge and looking at the impact of popular culture.  I am interested in theories that appear in Muslim literature and intersections with the political/social idea elsewhere.
