I never quite know how to approach these sort of things.... I will just say that currently I am traveling the United States in an Airstream Travel Trailer with my partner and our dog. We have been on the road for over a year and have truly seen the good, the bad and the ugly that this country and it\'s people have to offer. The landscape of America is amazing (in the places that have not been paved over and laden with Walgreens and Home Depot stores.) I draw a lot of inspiration from the quiet places and the vast areas of the states that are less populated and the people who live in these remote areas.
I do not affiliate myself with any political party or religion. I find it fascinating that the majority of people believe we live in a true "democracy." I am interested in conversations about how people get caught up in ideology and thought patterns that they percieve to be "good" and in reality they are causing quite a lot of harm.
I am very moved by the situation of people in Africa... in Sudan, Uganda, The Central African Republic, Chad, Rwanda and neighboring countries. I feel there is not much hope for any conflict resolution in most of these places unless radical thought change occurs and to be totally pessimistic I have great doubt that it will occur. Education for the general public about these regions of the world is the best chance I think we have to help the people who are affected by acts of ethnic cleansing and who are ignored by our government and essentially by the rest of the world as well.
