Born and raised in England.

Formerly member Socialist Party of Great Britain - a purist Marxist organization founded in early 1900s, about same time as British Labour Party; did not field candidates for office - role strictly educational.

Migrated to Canada 1953 and to US 1957.

Since about 1970, I have become increasingly convinced that civilization is on a path to disaster. We are facing rapidly increasing resource shortages and potentially enormous and deleterious climate changes. The present socio-economic system is inherently incapable of responding intelligently to these problems. A world-wide social revolution is required. The beginnings of a movement are discernible but there is much confusion and an Orwellian disinformation system to contend with. I was highly active in my younger days but now mainly limit myself to letters to the media and small-group discussions.
