Camila Piñeiro Harnecker is a researcher and professor at the Center of Studies on the Cuban Economy, located in Havana, Cuba. She has focused her studies on self-management, democratic planning, and participatory democracy and business administration in general. She graduated from the Latin American Studies masters program at the University of California at Berkeley, with an emphasis on sustainable development. Her thesis project was a study of Venezuelan cooperatives looking at the relationship between workplace democracy and social consciousness.
