Somehow Dan is a bureaucrat for the people. He is currently operations director of the Center for Third World Organizing (say "c-2"). He has done the same for the California Labor Federation and the Los Angeles Manufacturing Action Project. It\'s right livelihood, for sure. But earlier in life he imagined he\'d end up scanning tropical beaches with a metal detector and writing overly obvious songs for an untuned acoustic band that has a Saturday gig at that fried-halibut place. The dad thing must have deferred the dream. There\'s still time.
