I design " sustainable" water systems. With both more droughts and more floods, current storm water management systems are designed to get the water away as quickly as possible -- instead of letting it seep into the ground as it used to do or be used for irrigation, waste removal etc. I also plan and install systems for organic farmers, Native peoples etc. My work involves designing both water collections systems on a site (for use in watering ) and in designing water retention systems - bioswales and larger systems depending on the site.
