Born into a French/American family, I lived in both rural and urban areas, gradually appreciating their relation. At age 17 I came to Montreal, and being very inquisitive studied physics, then computer sciences. As a research agent on stochastic processes, I simulated decentralized adaptive control mechanisms for optimised policies. After creating my web company, I joined My Virtual Model, a social shopping company where I founded several departments: integration, operations, software engineering services/quality assurance, project management, business intelligence. While there, I completed a journalism degree, focusing on strong democracy awareness & quality criteria.
My background prepared me to “think glocal”, and while my interests lead me to systems thinking, I realized environmental degradation has a great impact on society and especially, on people’s health and trust between society’s members. I would like to foster positive change by empowering people, promoting knowledge and mediating effective dialog. My hobbies include photography (http://bit.ly/cnJrme), sports, rhythms & cooking. I love nature - Clouds, Landscapes, Trees, Flowers, Water, Animals - as well as the urban life - minus the pollution.
The last year I've concentrated on learning & implementing key aspects of the Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development (FSSD), originally developed in Sweden, through the Master's programme on Strategic Leadeship Towards Sustainability at the Blekinge Institute of Technology. Applications are open (http://bth.se/msls) :)
