Born two weeks before Hitler committed suicide (no cause & effect relationship).  My father served in what was then called the US Army Air Corps while my mother was in the British Civil Defense.  I spent most of my life in the US, served in the US Army and attended University as a nontraditional student.  This was after leaving school at 15, three years following the death of my father, to work as a bricklayers' laborer, factory laborer, coal miner, iron worker, truck driver, roughneck, taxi driver, and hanging around the Midland's Texas Employment Commission hoping to "catch out" with some day labor.  Presently retired and living with wife and two cats in Brussels where I am active with the Unitarians and a Flemish-based Palestinian Support group.
