Mark C was born in Portlaoise, Ireland in 1978. He attended the CBS in Portlaoise and the Community School in Mountmellick during his secondary school education. In third level, he spent two years in Mater Dei Institute of Education, leaving without a qualification. He then spent five years in St Patrick's Carlow College, leaving with a diploma, a degree, and a master's degree. In 2007 he graduated with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Mark has spent the past number of years working as a teacher in various schools around Ireland. At present he is self-employed as a web designer.
