Paul B. Hartzog is an independent scholar and developer, and one of the coiners of the word "panarchy," He has a Masters Degree in Globalization and Environmental Politics, and his seminal paper "Panarchy: Governance in the Network Age" is available online. Panarchy is a description of the future that hybridizes complex systems, networks, political philosophy, social theory, economics, and culture studies. In addition to describing these systems, Paul also works as a consultant architecting, advising, and developing open source knowledge-sharing applications. His clients include Howard Rheingold and The Institute for the Future.
