Did the usual dumb things until I was 22, then in 1972 migrated to Australia from England. Married 25 years, no children, divorced in 2000.  After moving to Frankston Victoria I established a community group in a low socio economic/learning city and began lobbyumg local government on Governance issues, had four members of the group elected to local council. V=Changed to direction of the group to sustainability early in the piece and have concentrated on getting documentation on Agenda 21 etc resolved through Council. Frankston was awarded the title "Most Sustainable City in Australia" in 2008.

Community Activities included running film nights for 5 years (winter), organising climate change forums (with peer groups such as Friends of the Earth), human signs with the Climate Change movement in Melbourne (David Spratt - Climate Code Red) and began a website - http://www.frankston.vic.au  which I still have an interest in.

After the Copenhagen debacle it became obvious the moment was lost, and I finished renovating my house (I have been aself employed architectural draftsman/builder for 35 years) I decided to have a look at Europe to see what kind of sustainable initiatives where on display - plenty. I also had a great love of the work of Antoni Gaudi so Spain, and Barcelona was an obvious place to look at first. That's where I am now and loving it. Loving Los Indignados and the spirit that is generating and the way it is connecting with other national movements. Seeing the descendants of Franco favoured to win the Nov 2011 election is not pretty. Would like to travel to Rio in 2012 to the 20th anniversary of the Rio Earth Summit and this U.N. world summit will be the decider. If the heresy's of the U.S. right wing cannot be overcome by then it's curtains for the environment.
