Sergio Gregorio Baierle: Master Degree in Political Science - University of Campinas (UNICAMP). After 10 year working in community theatre, he moved to popular education and socio-political investigation in the 1980's. He has worked for Centro de Assessoria e Estudos Urbanos (CIDADE) since 1991, being responsible for activities of action-investigation on participatory budgeting and local public policies (city planning, housing, education, etc.). Today he is responsible for the projects of CIDADE with the TNI (Transnational Institute), Action Aid (Brazilian CSO participation at India-Brazil-South Africa Local Governance Forum), IBP (International Budget Project - Open Budget Initiative), GTZ (Consultancy on Participatory Budgeting Implementation in Nicaragua) and University of Bradford - Peace Studies Dept. (Municipal Innovation in Non-Governmental Public Action: UK/Latin America). CIDADE has also support from KZE - Misereor for the main structure of its work with regards to participatory budgeting.
